Sunday, July 19 - Tuesday, July 21: Register here
Grand Camp is a very popular camp experience where grandparent(s) and their grandchild/children (ages 5 - 11) share traditional summer camp activities as a family unit and bond with other participants as well. Grand Camp lasts 3 days, 2 nights, and is housed in comfortable, homey, air-conditioned cottages. Each Grand Camp family unit will have a private bedroom with either a private bath, or a shared bathroom. Space is limited to one family (5 people or less) per bedroom and seven families for our pilot program, so register early! Grandparents register their families and pay the fees, then information forms are shared with the families of grandchildren.
Cost for Grandparent: $200 per person
Cost for Grandchild: $100 per person
Maximum charged per Family: $500
Activities may include hiking, swimming, crafts, hayrides, pony rides, horse painting, bible study, naptime and evening campfire worship. Fun is guaranteed!
Expectations:
What Spring Heights expects of you:
Grandparents are expected to be responsible for their own grandchild/children (punctuality, participation & discipline); and participate with them in camp activities the duration of their stay. (Unless camp staff lead specific games/activities for children only.) Participants should be ambulatory and able to walk up slight inclines and distances up to 700 feet.
Each family unit is expected to stay the duration of the 3-day camp and be punctual at each scheduled activity.
Grandparents will be responsible for the securing and appropriate distribution of all medications, if any, for their grandchildren, and themselves.
Children at camp are not allowed to have/use any electronic device for communication (cell phone, tablet, etc.) We disconnect to reconnect. Adults may use their cell phones discreetly at night and during free time (so as not to distract from the camp experience).
Grandparents are expected to park their cars and leave them until departure day.
Of course, use of tobacco products or alcohol is prohibited on camp property.
